Video Tutorial – How to Create an Alexa Skill

You’ve probably used Alexa for a multitude of things ranging from news to games to smart home skills. However, the real joy of Alexa is creating Alexa skills. So far, I have created three skills: Kids Advice, Meal Buddy, and Wheel of Fun, and creating them has made me the proudest I’ve ever been in my entire life. (although my life is only 11 and a half years. ) In this video, I’ll show you how to create a Hello World Alexa skill, and once you have created it, you can try making it a tad more complicated and eventually publish it to the Alexa Skill Store. BTW, I will be using the Alexa-Hosted method, not the Provision Your Own (usually AWS);

Once you create it, if you publish your skill to the Alexa Skill Store, leave its name in the comments section of my YouTube video, and I’ll be sure to try it out.

Here is my video!
